How long will it take for Horizon to settle my
debts?
The time will vary from client to client depending on your unique financial situation and what you can contribute on a monthly basis towards your program amount. One of our Financial Consultants will provide you with an estimate of length on the program and amount based on your living expenses and financial obligations during your free initial consultation. Typically, clients are free from unsecured debt in one to three years and saving somewhere between 40-65%.
Why should I use Horizon Financial Services to
settle my debts?
Horizon Financial Services is not paid by any other organization (as are Consumer Credit Counseling, non-profit agencies, etc) and is working for you and only you to reduce your debts to the lowest possible amount and eliminate them as quickly as possible. We save our clients between 40-65% off of their debts and that amount includes our fees.
We are experts in the field of Debt Settlement/Negotiation and have over 17 years combined experience in dealing with all aspects you could encounter. We are here to make your process of becoming debt-free as painless as possible and we are also dedicated to providing our clients the education and tools to continue their debt-free life beyond our program and create their financial independence.
Can I use your program and would I qualify?
Anyone who is experiencing sincere financial hardship will qualify for our program. If you are having difficulty making minimum payments to creditors, behind on your unsecured debts, finding yourself "robbing Peter to pay Paul", exhausted with the stress and frustration that mounting debt has caused in your life, please call us today at (800) 667-0143 and start on your road to debt-free living.
What debts can I put on the program?
Horizon can help you with any UNSECURED DEBT. Common unsecured debt we help with is Credit Cards, Personal and Signature Loans, Medical Bills, Unsecured Lines of Credit, Repossessed Vehicle Loans, Judgments and Liens, Professional Fees.
We cannot help with secured debt such as Home Loans/Mortgage, Automobile Loans, Federally Guaranteed Student Loans, Equity Credit Lines or back Child Support payments.
If you have a question whether your debt would qualify, please call one of our experienced Financial Consultants and they would be happy to answer your question at no cost to you (phone number).
What will happen in my free consultation session?
One of our experienced financial consultants will spend 15-30 minutes with you reviewing your unique financial situation by exploring your debt, your income, household expenses and lifestyle and possible solutions we can provide or advise to. Your Financial Consultant will be able to tell you whether you would qualify for our program, estimated reduction in your debt and length of time to become debt-free. Most clients report they experienced feeling of "relief", "confidence" and a "way-out of their financial hardship" during their first experience with Horizon Financial Services.
Can my creditors still contact me if I am using
your company?
Once your program has started, we contact each of your creditors (including all collection agencies and attorney's involved) and advise them to direct all communication (written and verbal) to our office and cease all communication with you. This legal step is usually enough to stop calls and harassment. If you receive any further calls, you need to notify our Client Services Dept with the information of who is calling and we will handle the situation and advise the creditor again to cease communication with you.
Why shouldn't I just file bankruptcy?
There are financial situations that bankruptcy is the best option. But from our experience should only be pursued after ALL debt relief solutions have been explored. We believe bankruptcy should only be used as a last resort because of the detrimental effort on your credit history and the fact it remains on your credit history up to 10 years.
If your goal is to eliminate your debts quickly and regain a good credit standing by the end of your program, then Horizon Financial Services is your solution, let us start helping you TODAY.
Can I keep my credit cards while in your program?
No, you have to include all unsecured debt over $500 in our program. There is exceptions for keeping a credit card out of the program if you use it for business purposes and but all other credit cards and lines of credit need to be closed when placed with Horizon Financial Services. You also cannot apply for further credit while on the program.
The ease of obtaining credit is the biggest reason why our clients are in the financial situation that they are. We provide ongoing education throughout your time on the program of how to create financial future you choose without going into debt!
What will happen to my credit report?
Horizon is not a credit repair company nor are we attempting to improve your credit rating, but what we have found through experience is the very process of negotiating/settling your debts and receiving a "settled in full" or "paid in full" status (in the form of a letter) does improve your credit score. We also stress the importance to our clients of paying their secured payments (house, rent, car) on time throughout the program, this also contributes to an improved credit score. Most clients end their programs with a good FICO (credit) score of 630-680, which is a good "A" standing. 700 and above is an "A+" or excellent rating.
Will the creditors take legal action against me?
Creditors do have the legal right to pursue a debtor in a court of law to collect the debt. This is usually a last resort after they have expended much effort to collect without response or satisfaction. Taking a client to court is a costly and time-consuming activity, which most creditors prefer to avoid. Taking a debtor to court still doesn't guarantee a creditor repayment on the debt and the creditors are very aware of this.
We have found that working with the creditor to find a solution usually satisfies everyone before further action is taken. Communication is key and we stay in communication with all of your creditors on a regular basis always striving for a win situation for our clients.
Will you ever sell or share my name or address
with any outside parties?
Absolutely not! From the first time you contact our company for a free consultation, everything you share with us is private and held in the strictest of confidence. Under no circumstances is any information shared with a third-party for any reason. All information is considered highly confidential and personal.
